Welcome to Penrosa Setters, home of 2011 - 2012 National Amateur Walking Shooting Dog Champion, Ch. Penrosa Stoneyox, and the NBHA 2010 - 2011 National Open Invitational Champion, Ch. Penrosa Knox.

We started hunting and breeding setters in 1971, and started field trialing our setters in 1986. We won our first championship in 1993 with our setter Ch. Trail Boss Grover, whose pedigree consists of Ch. Jetrain and Ch. Tomoka, some of the great setters of the past. Later we campaigned his son Penrosa Red Rover, whose dam was by Ch. Hick’s Rising Sun, another great hall of fame setter.

We are currently running Ch. Penrosa Knox who is by Penrosa Red Rover and Penrosa Hot Pepper, she is by Ch. See Johnny Run, a descendant of National Ch. Johnny Crockett. Our latest star in the winning circle is Ch. Penrosa Stoneyox, he is a product of Ch. Penrosa Knox X Penrosa Fabius Bell, and he is a line-bred product of our breeding program for the future. His pedigree is concentrated with some of the great setters of the past that continue to produce the best setters in the field today.
